I Want Him Back but I Don't Want to Keep Hurting

So I've been with this guy for a little over a year and I'm so in love with him. We have had some really tough times with trust and everything because he cheated on me once but I decided to forgive him because it sounded like it didn't mean anything and that he still loved me very much so I agreed to give it time and not date him but just be with him. Then recently we got in a fight and we are both stubborn so we didn't talk to one another then all the sudden I find out he is dating this girl who is such a slut. I talked to him and he said he didn't like her or wasn't dating her but that was a lie all my friends have seen them kiss in school and it just kills me. I didn't go to school today and he text me asking why I wasn't there and he acted like he cared sooo much then my friend text mer and said she had just seen them kiss and all this stuff. He tells me we need time and blah blah. how can he go from loving me so much to hurting me so bad to the point I cry every day and night don't eat and can't go to school because if I see them together I'll get so mad then break down and cry. I want him back more than anything but I don't want to keep hurting like this I'm so so lost.

Can't Handle This

Wendy's advice

You want to know how he can go from loving you so much to hurting you over and over again? The answer is that he never loved you to begin with. This guy is not mature enough to be in a committed relationship and you will only continue to be hurt if you insist on trying to make it work with him. You cannot control how another person feels about you, only how you respond. He is enjoying a little ego trip every time you (or any other girl) flocks to him. You need to cut him off. No more calls, texts or emails. If you pass him on the street or at school, look the other way. I know this sounds harsh, and I know it seems impossible to do, but if you want to hang onto your self respect and stop hurting, this is the only way to do it. The pain and misery in this relationship seems to be very one-sided. That is not love. It's time for you to stand up and demand to be treated with respect, and the first step is to walk away from someone who has shown you time and time again that he does not respect you.
